About Me

We adopted Fred in July of 2010 and we could not be happier with our new addition. Dixie Pet does wonderful work helping the dogs and cats of TN find forever homes, and we are glad to support such a wonderful cause. Fred has settled in to his new home in PA, loves the snow in winter and hiking in summer.  He's such a loving, playful pup, clever and easy to train! We adore him and we encourage anyone looking for a pet to trust their decision about a new family member to Dixie Pet!

OMG he is so big! haha. That is great! I am a veterinary technician at a local hospital and I see so many different dogs and i just love how luka is so unique! you must enjoy that as well!
Luka is not the best swimmer. Last summer i introduced him to the water slowly (he also has a life vest) He wasnt a big fan. This year I took him to the lake and he just started jumping in off the dock! one or two times he fell in off the end of the dock but he started swimming his way back to the rocks. If you are trying to get Fred in the water I would suggest a life vest I think luka feels better with it on and it will put you at ease because it will keep him a float!
I am so happy to hear you want to stay in touch! haha I would LOVE to hear about Fred through out his life! And would love for them to meet someday and play! That would be amazing. I was just asking a co worker of mine if it was weird that I was so happy to find Luka's brother and if it was odd to want to know about him haha. I am glad you feel the same!
My email is [email protected] and same goes for you... if you are ever in NH or the Boston area, Luka would love to play! What part of PA are you in?

Hi! I am about 99% sure that Fred is my dog Luka's brother. Luka came to me last july as well. his birthday is estimated around the end of march. He is a terrier mix. Luka's name was Dino and I remember when talking with Dixie pet they said all of luka's brothers and sisters were names after the Flinstones! I remember seeing pictures of Fred then too. So take a look at Lukas photo and let me know if you think the same! It sounds like Luka and Fred are pretty similar! Fred has a bit longer hair though! So cute! Dont you love the beards! haha
